Friday, January 22, 2021 was our 100th day of virtual school. To celebrate this day, I felt it would be fun to try writing 100 Word Stories. 100 Word Stories are just as the title says. The stories contain only 100 words. Within that 100 words students were challenged to include all the elements of a narrative story, characters, setting, problem, and solution. They also had to maintain a beginning, middle, and end to their story. Here are some of the stories the students wrote: Cloudy Skies By Emma G. Beautiful cotton candy clouds covered the sky at dusk, along with countless glowing stars. A little girl laid on the lush grass and dreamt of the impossible ways to reach the stars and clouds. She would have loved to reach them. She would have loved to reach the clouds and trillions of stars, but she knew it was just not possible. She waited and waited for the wind to lift her off the ground and bring her there. Eventually, a pastel purple and pink bunny with wings appeared. The strange animal took her with it. Finally, she touched the clouds! Unicorns By Gavrila M. Early morning. Tall trees. A unicorn is born. Life is hard for the little unicorn. Crystals fall. Snow comes. All the unicorns try to stop the snowflakes. The baby unicorn closed its eyes. Scared, worried, and afraid. The unicorn felt weird. She woke up and her parents were gone. But, she was in the air. She fell, a snowflake breathing dragon came. He frosted the baby unicorn's mom's horn. She remembered that unicorns are special creatures. She was so brave, she hurt herself but she didn't care. The little unicorn fell. The unicorn was falling into the unknown! To be continued… The Dad and the Three Friends By Tristan R. It was 10:00 in the morning. I just got on the tram. My uncle told me a story of when he was in an old train operating tunnel. He told me that he was with a couple of friends in the tunnel. They saw his friend's dad and hung out and hung out a bit more in the tunnel. They were exploring the tunnel and it was dark with trains and they saw lots of underground things in the tunnel that they were in. After they were exploring they took a break again. Then when they were ready to explore, the dad disappeared. The Life of a Golf Ball By Carter S. I am a golf ball soaring through the air. It is cold and windy up here. Five Nights at Freddy's is a scary but good series. Let's get straight to the point. The game is scary because there are murderous (and sometimes humans) robots trying to break your ears at a bad time. When they succeed you may want a computer and wall repair service on hand because you're gonna lose serious progress and you're gonna be mad. The game has quiet audio cues like is nt. Bonnie, nt. Chica, Nightmare, or Goldie (nt. Fredbear) when close you have to shut the door. Except at the end of most games you get poofed anyway. My Sister and I By Frida M. That is how I learned to ride a hover board and how I got one of my own. By Madeline C. Once there were two couples and they had a baby. The baby had so much hair.
